Lateefah Franck Named New Westwood METCO Director

A new METCO Director for Westwood has been selected. Sheryl Goodloe, who has served as Westwood Public School’s METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) Director for over twenty-five years, will retire at the end of this school year. Of the three finalists to assume Goodloe’s position, Lateefah Franck was selected. Franck served as the METCO director for Lincoln Public Schools since 2011. To quote the press release, “[Franck] was the principal for grades 4 -6 at the Boston Renaissance Charter School, a classroom teacher, a reading specialist, and a recruiter for AMERICORPS.
